Join us for a fun and creative Modern Calligraphy & Lettering Workshop!

In this workshop, you’ll learn foundational calligraphy techniques, how to prepare and use the two most common tools—a pointed pen and a brush pen—and work through a step-by-step worksheet covering basic strokes, lowercase letters, connections, capital letters, and introductory stylizing techniques. Yes, that’s a lot for one workshop! The goal is to help you become familiar with the tools and techniques so you can confidently continue practicing on your own.

You’ll receive a thoughtfully curated modern calligraphy starter kit featuring high-quality tools, including a brush pen, pen holder, nib, calligraphy ink, practice notebook, and tracing paper—everything you need to start strong and keep practicing for months to come.

The first half of the workshop is dedicated to guided practice, while the second half becomes Art Bar. During Art Bar, you’ll have access to a wide variety of art supplies and tools to create your own custom pieces—such as cards, bookmarks, gift tags, and a fabric project (tote or canvas bag)—using your newly learned skills. You’ll also have the chance to try out additional calligraphy tools, including an oblique holder, glass pen, fluid writer, and more.

No prior experience is needed! And if you already have some, you’ll still gain valuable tips and tricks I’ve gathered over the years and love sharing in class.

Let your creativity flow and leave with beautifully hand-lettered pieces—and maybe a new favorite hobby.

There are plenty of parking spots along Washington Blvd. and nearby alleys. Most are free after 6 pm and on Sundays. You can also easily extend your parking permit during the class. 

Cancellation and Refund Policy

If you are unable to attend the workshop you signed up for, please get in touch with me (arezoor@awishcrafted.com) as soon as possible. If I am notified more than 7 days before the workshop, I can issue a 95% refund (the 5% is the administration fee). For cancellations within the week of the workshop, I will give you credit to attend a future one.

By registering for a workshop or event, I grant permission to A Wish Crafted LLC and/or THESE HANDS, LLC to capture photos and videos of me for promotional or archival purposes only.

If you prefer not to be photographed or recorded, please let the instructor know before the class begins.
